Hey Boneheads,

I don't know if you noticed or not, but I'm in today's issue of the SF Bay Guardian!! I'm smack dab in the middle of the issue- kind of like where the centerfold would be if there was one. A big thank you to Michelle at Dollhouse Bettie for asking me to be part of this!

Angela Dollhouse Bettie Photo Shoot

I have some exciting things coming up this month. I have a photo shoot booked almost every weekend this month. I can't give too much away, but keep your eyes out for some knock your socks off photos!!

By the way, did I mention that I am the new Saturday night DJ?? That's right!! The radio Gods have spoken and I'll be with you every Saturday (right after Steven Seaweed) from 7pm until midnight. How cool is that?

Let me know how I'm doing at

January 20, 2010

Boneheads,

I've gotta tell you... so far I am LOVING 2010!!! I took a little road trip down to Anaheim last weekend for the NAMM Show, and it was non stop the entire time. I think you can expect some big things from me this year. Well, fingers crossed :)

I headed down I-5 very, very early Friday morning. Not only was I doing the Coffin Case Fashion Show that night, but I also had a shoot scheduled with my photographer friend, Robert Alvarado. I made it to Orange County before noon, and we snapped a few shots. What do you think? Do I look like I just drove 400 miles??

Angela, The Bone Rock Girl

After that, it was back on the road, and off to get ready for the fashion show. The second set of outfits were all latex fashion by Venus Prototype. I've never worn a latex dress before, but there is one rule that you must follow when wearing latex.... You have to completely cover yourself in "lube", and have 2 people slide you into your outfit. That was an experience and a half, but totally worth it! Lucky for me another photographer friend, Ernie Manrique of Manrique Photos, was there to get some shots of all the ladies in latex.

Saturday, I was one of the Coffin Girls at the Coffin Case booth. I don't think I've ever had so many pictures taken in my life. I even met a few Bay Area Boneheads, and got a pic with Nikki Blakk... who advised me to put some pants on, LOL!! I finally did on Sunday, and I was Bay Area bound!

Coffin Case Fashion Show

I had way too much fun. There are still a ton of pictures and videos floating about. I'll post those as I get them.

By the way, Saturday, January 23rd is my birthday party at Mutiny in Antioch. I wanted to invite everyone to come on down, check out the bands, and have a drink. Mutiny is donating 10% of bar sales that night to Haiti relief! It's booze for a cause.

Hope to see you there!!

XOXO,
Angela

Janaury 4, 2010

What a rockin' New Year's I had!! I trust that all of you had the same. My night started off a little slow, because I had to wait on one of my friends to get ready. Yeesh!! I think it's Murphy's law that if it takes a woman longer than one hour to pick out her outfit, she will end up wearing the first thing she put on.

No big deal, we made it to our destination (in where else, but Bethel Island). I live in San Francisco, but I seem to spend a lot of time out there. Anyways, I danced my you-know-what off, and the band even asked me to do the official count down at midnight. That was way awesome. Here's a short video to prove it...

New Year's Day, I went to The 30th Annual Frozen Bun Run. For those of you not familiar, it takes place every New Year's Day at The Rusty Porthole. People go water skiing wearing crazy costumes, or um.... well, there is a reason it's called The Frozen Bun Run. It was good times with good people. I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store!!

XOXO,
Angela

December 28, 2009

Hey Boneheads!!

First off, I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I spent mine with my family in, where else but, Bethel Island. I'm pretty sure I made Santa's naughty list this year. All of the gifts I receive were in bottles with phrases like "Please drink responsibly" printed on them. It's hard to put into words, but you can go to the video if you'd like. Be warned, the song is not radio friendly....

I can't believe 2010 is here already. I have a few things coming up that I am really excited about. In a few weeks I'll be headed down to the NAMM Show in Anaheim with my friends from Coffin Case. It's so much fun! Last year, I was in the fashion show that opened for Alice Cooper. It's definitely a rock star-studded event. I've bumped in to Danny Carey, Lemmy Kilmister, Paul Stanley, Nikki Sixx, and Jerry Only to name a few. If you are wondering if I become a total nerd around rock and roll legends, the answer is "Yes". I promise to take lots of pictures, and maybe even take a stab a making a video.

Well Boneheads, I want to wish everyone a safe and happy new year

2010 here we come!!

By the way, I'm going to start taking a photography class in February. I've got the goods, I just need the know how. I took this photo of myself dressed as Marilyn Monroe. What do you think??

XOXO,
Angela

December 10, 2009

Hey Boneheads!!

I gotta know...have you been naughty or nice this year?  Have you downloaded my desktop calendar yet? Well, that's step one for getting on my "Nice" list. There's still a lot of December left, so what are you waiting for?!

There's a lot of awesome concerts coming up, too.  Yep, that's right.  One of them is  Metallica this Saturday at HP Pavilion.  I am way excited!!  I've even got the first 4 albums on vinyl.  Yes, vinyl.  Ask my good friend, Steven Seaweed - he can tell you all about it. If you see me at the show, come rock out with me!!

You know what I realized, Boneheads? I've been terrible about bringing my camera with me lately. Luckily, I have a few photos to share from a recent shoot I did with from Mitzi Valenzuela from Mitzi & Co. There are some I can't show you just yet, so you'll have to be patient!  Keep your fingers crossed though. Some just might end up in your favorite hot rod magazines.

See you next time, Boneheads!

XOXO
Angela

Angela, our Bone Rock Girl

November 18, 2009

It was another weekend full of awesomeness!! I was asked to be a judge in a talent competition at Burnin' Burro Studios in Livermore on Saturday. I’m not sure how I qualified for that one (since my only real talent is being a smart ass), but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I even saw a familiar act. Perhaps you remember Full On Flyhead from the Bone Rock Girl Sweet 16 Party back in April?  Well, you should definitely check them out. They’ve added an additional vocalist, and let me tell you, the girl has pipes!

Angela at the Goodguys Autumn Get-Together

This weekend also called for some quality time with the fam. I helped my brother celebrate his 24th birthday by dragging him to the Goodguys Autumn Get-Together Car Show in Pleasanton. Hopefully, you stopped by and said "Hi" to my good buddy, Steven Seaweed on Sunday. My absolute favorite car of the show was the new Dodge Challenger. Not only is it one kick-ass ride, but the presenter was able to start it from his iPhone!  I seriously need to get my hands on one of those. My birthday is coming up ... hint, hint ... :)

Dodge Challenger!

After the car show, we headed over to happy hour (with a DD of course). I was introduced to a drink called a "Trash Can."  This drink is similar to a Long Island Iced Tea, but with a can of Red Bull placed upside-down in the glass. Supposedly, it resembles the top of a trash can, hence the name. I have my own theory about the name. I think it’s called a "Trash Can" because the next day you feel like garbage!! My advice is to steer clear of these, and stick to the basics this Thanksgiving!

Until next time!

November 2, 2009

Hey there Boneheads,

I hope everyone had an awesome Halloween!! I certainly did. Friday night, I ended up taking 2nd place in a costume contest for my Marilyn Monroe getup at The Rusty Porthole in Bethel Island!  I think that might actually have been the first time I've left a bar with money in my pocket. My wig was so tight that it actually bruised my forehead. Can't say I didn't work for it.

Angela as Marilyn!

Fangs!Since I didn't want to repeat my costume, or crush my brain with that wig, I opted for a darker ensemble on Halloween night. I stumbled upon a pair of vampire fangs that you are able to custom fit to your teeth at home. Add a smoking wiggle dress, and a bit of makeup, and BAM!! Instant "True Blood" extra.

I've gotta say, my weekend kicked some serious butt.

Speaking of butt, I chose to sit on mine all day Sunday. Hey, even The Bone Rock Girl needs to take it easy once in a while. Well, mostly because there are a ton of rockin' shows coming up, not to mention the Goodguys Car Show November 15th in Pleasanton.

Maybe I'll see you there!

XOXO
Angela

October 28, 2009

Hey Boneheads!!

I wanted to say a big "THANK YOU" to everyone that came out to Masse's Billiards & Sports Bar in Walnut  Creek weekend before last. I think you listeners had it in for me.  I didn't get challenged to a single game of pool. Instead, you guys went straight for beer pong!! I must say, I got my you-know-what handed to me, but it was for a good cause. All of the money was donated to the Breast Cancer Fund, and my Sister was nice enough to be my DD. That's "designated driver" for all you Ta-Ta guys.

I may have gotten my butt kicked on Saturday, but was redeemed on Sunday. I spent a good part of the day at the Jockey Club in San Mateo. Through blind luck, all of my horses placed and I won a bit of cash. That money went straight to the Rock Girl Needs a New Pair of Boots Fund :).

My favorite holiday of the year is almost here!!! I love Halloween!!  I didn't get in to the spirit until last Wednesday, when I to see Alice Cooper ROCK The Warfield in SF. He put on one of, if not the best, shows I have ever seen. He dies 4 times on stage!! Who does that?

On a serious side note, I want to remind you to wear your earplugs at concerts. I was in the elevator Alice Cooper before the show, and apparently he asked me if I wanted to be a guest zombie on stage. Some how, I didn't hear him, I walked off the elevator like a total dork. All because I have been to too many shows without ear protection... sigh....

No use crying over spilled milk, I guess. I'm going to head to a few events this weekend, and that means multiple costumes! Stayed tuned, and let me know which one is your favorite. You can email me at rockgirl@thebone.net.

Hey Boneheads!!

I thought I would post a last-minute blog before we get to all the October festivities!!  I've been running around like a crazy woman lately. I managed to hit the Delta one last time before the rain hit. I have learned that you are never too old to jump off of a rope swing.... BUT, you might be too old to land correctly - ouch!!

Wow, now where do I begin? I've got it!! Come and hang out with me and the Bone Crew this Saturday from 7pm to 9pm at Masse's Billiards & Sports Bar in Walnut Creek. Challenge me to a game of pool, or, dare I say, a round of Beer Pong. 100% of all donations will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund. As always, there will be food and drink specials.

Maybe horse racing is more your thing? I've got you covered there too! Sunday, I'll be out at the Jockey Club in San Mateo from 1pm to 3 pm.  Stop in, stay awhile, and enter to win some sweet Bone prizes!!

Catch you later Boneheads!!! Come out and play with me this weekend. Give me something I can blog about ;D

P.S.  The beach pictures are from Ocean Beach after the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival at Stern Grove....but I hardly, strictly, remember...

Angela's on a boat...!Hey there Boneheads!!

I've had the most awesome couple of weeks, and I could hardly wait to share them with you! Well, they were a lot of fun, but I can't say it was without bumps and bruises....or BEE STINGS!!

I spent Labor Day out on the good ol' California Delta. I think it might be time for me to buy a lotto ticket, because while I was out tearing it up on a Jetski, I got stung by a bee in a very...um...unwelcome spot.... Let's just say the jokes didn't stop for the remainder of the day. Apparently, I'm a real buzz kill!

This past weekend, I attended my first ever Brews on The Bay aboard the S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien at Pier 45 in San Francisco.

For those of you that didn't make it out it was good times, good music (Zoo Nation rocked it on Sunday!!), and GOOD BEER!!

I also made my first attempt at a shooting my own Rock Girl video blog....that didn't work out so well. I think next time I'll leave it to the experts (A.K.A. Baby Huey and the HueyCam).

You would think I would be ready to kick back and relax, right?? Not this Rock Girl, I'm just getting started!! My weekend kicks off on Friday with former KISS Guitarist, Ace Frehley  on a rock star edition of "Hey Mom, I'm on The Bone" with The Weedman!  Tune in at noon, and check it out.

Don't forget, This Sunday is the 49ers home opener game against the Seahawks. I'll be there with Lamont & Tonelli along with Sully and Baby Huey at Faithful City near Gate 4 in the main parking lot starting at 10am. Make sure you say hi!

Hey Boneheads!!

Boneheads?? Heellllloo??!  Oh, there you are!! I know, I've been slacking on my on my blogging these days, but don't worry. I am working on a plan to make it all up to you.

Angela and buds at the Raiders-Niners game! Now where to begin? How about the 49ers vs. Raiders game a few weeks back!! I had some awesome seats on the 10 yard line. I must have been pretty well behaved since no one texted me in as a "Bad Fan."  It was a great game, and in the end the Niners took it! I have to admit, my favorite shot of the game wasn't on the field, but in the row behind me. An unsuspecting fan got shot in the a$$ by a t-shirt traveling about 80 miles per hour. Poor thing didn't even get to keep the shirt.

Me and a crazy Canadian! In recent news, I spent nearly the entire weekend in Golden Gate Park for the Outside Lands Music & Art Festival. I headed over solo on Friday night to meet up with a few friends. As soon as I walked in the gates, I bumped into Joe Rock and Jaeger. See, our DJs don't just play rock 'n' roll....they live it!!

I hopped through the park with Jaeger for a bit before we parted ways. Who do I run into next, but a couple of Boneheads from Canada!!  One of them was such a fan of Super Producer Sully, that he even wore a Man-kini (a.k.a. "Borat Thong") in praise of his favorite rock station. We do have a worldwide listening audience, you know.

I hope you are keeping your ears open, and tuned to 107.7 The Bone because we are giving away some awesome tickets in the next few weeks!! You know what to do ;)

Catch you later Boneheads! Hopefully, at the 49ers vs. Seahawks game on September 20th. I'll be hanging out in Faithful City with my friends Lamont & Tonelli...and Sully, of course!

XOXO
Angela

August 7, 2009

Hey, Boneheads!!

Angela and fellow hot rod enthusiastI have had a busy couple of weeks and I'm not done yet! Before I became the 2009 Bone Rock Girl, I won the title of Miss Midnight Mass 2008 at the Midnight Mass Car Show in Sacramento. I was honored that they asked me back to host this year's contest.

Passing the torch was kind of a bitter-sweet moment, but I did it the best way I know how ... by convincing the new Miss Midnight Mass that you're never too old for a keg stand!! Ladies, remember that when the next Rock Girl Competition comes around, LOL!!

If you've been tuning in to The World Famous Hot Lunch on Thursdays, you've probably noticed that my good friend Steven Seaweed is giving me a hands-on crash course in radio. I absolutely love being on the air, and I couldn't ask for a better teacher. I have to ask, how am I doing?  I'd love to hear from you Boneheads since you are what it's all about!! Feel free to call in next Thursday around noon, or shoot me an email at rockgirl@thebone.net.

Bone Bash X is almost upon us!!  I can't believe that we'll be rocking out with Aerosmith and ZZ Top in less than 2 weeks!!  I hope you got your tickets already. You will probably find me causing trouble with my favorite partner in crime, Baby Huey. I can't wait!!

Catch you later, Boneheads!! Same Bone time, same Bone channel!

XOXO

Hey Boneheads!!

Angela the MC!Have I got 3 words for you...BONE HOME TOWN!!!! I attended my first BHT at Masse's Billiards Sports Bar & Grill in Walnut Creek last Friday, and it was so much fun!!

A couple of Boneheads were brave enough to challenge me to a few games of pool. At one point it was Rock Girl: 3, Everyone Else: 0...until the sharks started to circle. What do you do in that situation?? BEER PONG!!! Good thing I had my brother Adam, his friend Juvi, and Mac The Intern on my team. We totally killed it!! Well, maybe. The other team was serious competition!!

Over the weekend, I headed out to my hometown for the 22nd Annual Bethel Island 50's Bash. I was asked to be the hostess for the first ever Miss Tugs Pinup contest! The ladies that entered the contest all brought that old school vibe (see below).  Not to mention, they showed off some awesome hula hoop, jump rope, or dare I say...pole dancing skills!!

Did you miss it?? Don't worry, there is always next year. I myself, might show off my hula skills if you ask nicely, lol!!

But seriously, who cares about hula hoop skills when The Saddle Rack in Fremont has a mechanical bull!! Well Boneheads, that just happens to be the location for the Bone Bash X Battle of the Bands (say that 5 times fast).

12 bands are going to compete over the next 2 Sundays (July 26th and August 2nd) for fame, power, Bone Rock glory, and to see who will open for ZZ Top and Aerosmith at Bone Bash X!! So come on out and support your favorite band. The judging will done on site, and the crowd response will help decide the winner. I just may have to head down there and hang out for a bit. What do you think? Do you think I can hold on for 8 seconds??

July 8, 2009

Hey Boneheads!!

What an awesome 4th of July weekend that was!! I got to kick it off a bit early in the studio with The Weedman and the guys from Night Ranger (Jack Blades and Brad Gillis) last Thursday. Did you catch their show at the Alameda County Fair? I heard they rocked it! Emergency BBQ brought in some of the best ribs I've ever had for everyone in the studio. Good BBQ is essential to any American holiday, am I wrong?

Saturday, I left my heart in San Francisco and decided to watch the fireworks over the bay. Wouldn't you know, it was a fog-free night!! I got together with a few friends, and (among other things) we made Yucca. I was new to this whole concoction, but I kept an open mind. Basically, you pour 2 bottles of tequila into trashcan-like container, fill with ice, add some lemons, limes, a bit of sugar, and shake the crap out of it!! The jug was a bit heavy for me, so I did more of a shimmy than a shake.

Yucca!

I am getting really excited. Bone Bash X is right around the corner!! You guys got your tickets, right? If you haven't yet there is still time, and every Monday in July at 7:15am tune-in to hear Lamont & Tonelli announce the Bone Bash "Song of the Day" and the hours it will play. When you hear that song in the correct hour, just be the 10th caller to win Bone Bash X tickets and to qualify for front row seats, VIP passes and a meet and greet with Aerosmith! I'm going to need a volunteer to catch me in case I faint!!

Hope you guys are having a rockin' summer!! By the way, look for me at the Bone Home Town on July 17th at Masses Billiards Sports Bar & Grill in Walnut Creek with Nikki Blakk from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.  See ya there!

XOXO

Hey Boneheads!!

I had such a crazy weekend that it took me until Tuesday to write my new blog. In the last 2 weeks my schedule has been full with concerts, appearances and graduations...and let's not forget the ever-popular graduation party!

My weekend started off on Friday night in my home town of Bethel Island. A big group of my friends and I got together to catch an awesome show at one of the local bars. It was almost like a high school reunion, and the band Red Light Mind was on fire! There was more than a little booty shakin' going on, LOL!!

Me and the galsMe and my brother

Partying with friends!

Can you read the sign above us?

Saturday, I was up bright and early for 49ers Family Day. (Paul) Tonelli from the Morning Show was out there broadcasting live from The Bone booth with a few players and Coach Mike Singletary. Talk about rock star status!! Coach Singletary never stopped signing autographs and had 3 police escorts. I don't know about you, but I have a pretty good feeling about this season. My crowning moment of the day was my one-handed catch...while holding a beer. At more than $8 a piece there was no way I was dropping that bad boy!!

As always, I loved meeting all the Boneheads!! I've gotta say, there was a little Casanova running around the field. You older fellows might need to step up your game. Blonde hair, blue eyes, 3' 2", and about 3 years old!! He asked me for a picture, and when I crouched down to pose he jumped in my lap, and planted a big one on my cheek.  See, being the Bone Rock Girl has its perks!

Angela with Coach Singletary and Sourdough Sam!

Could it be because it's the 40th anniversary of The Summer of Love?  Wouldn't you know it, Jimi Hendrix is our Bone Rock Artist of The Week!!  Tune in on Thursday around noon, and I'll be on the World Famous Hot Lunch with Steven Seaweed. Maybe he'll let me give away some Woodstock goodies.

Catch you around, Boneheads!!

XOXO

Angela, 2009 Bone Rock Girl

June 1, 2009

Hiya Boneheads!

Summer time, and the living is easy!!

Well, it's getting closer to summer anyway. It's a new month and you all know what that means.... A brand new, smoking hot Bone Rock Girl calendar to steam up your desk top!! Who needs June when you have Micaela? Speaking of some more BRG for your CPU, I've been doing some brainstorming and I think I've come up with an idea for my screen saver that I think you'll enjoy. It's not set in stone yet, so if you have any suggestions or ideas send them to me at rockgirl@thebone.net.

I absolutely love summer time in the Bay Area. I grew up on the California Delta, and I'm all about wake boarding, car shows, and holding down the ice chest! I get to play hostess at a few upcoming car shows, so keep checking back for the details. I make an appearance in the June 2009 issue of Amusin' Krusin' magazine, just in case a few of you are car enthusiasts. You can look for that on newsstands starting June 9th.

The summer concert season is also here!!! I live in San Francisco, and I can't wait for the Outside Lands Festival. Maybe it's because one of my favorite bands, The Mars Volta, is playing. I've seen them over 10 times, and they don't disappoint. If you're in my neck of the woods, you should head on over to Golden Gate Park for that show.

Oh, I almost forgot! Saturday, June 13th is 49ers Family Day at Candlestick Park!! The NFL pre-season doesn't start until August 2nd, but you can get your 49ers Faithful fix with Tonelli and yours truly from 10am to 1pm.  Admission and parking is FREE!  I want to invite all of you Boneheads and your families to join us - you know it'll be fun!

Until next time,

XOXO

Hey Boneheads!

Angela is ready for Bay to Breakers! What an awesome weekend it was!! The weather in SF was absolutely beautiful, and I got some much needed sun. Sunday, I attended the 97th annual Bay to Breakers run. Maybe I didn’t do so much running during the race in my little sailor outfit, but I had a blast nonetheless.  By the way, all those designs painted on me have left really sweet patterns in my sunburn!

If you didn’t make it to out to the run, hopefully you went to Hooterpalooza with Lamont & Tonelli, or caught Chickenfoot at The Fillmore!  Send me a note at rockgirl@thebone.net and let me know.

Speaking of L&T, you can catch me with the guys this Wednesday, May 20th, at Amici’s in Menlo Park from Noon to 2pm. It’s going to be good food and good people. I want to invite all the Boneheads to come out and join us!!

Another place you’ll be able to find me this summer is the one and only Playboy Mansion!! Being the Bone Rock Girl definitely has its perks. Attending a party there was on my "Things I Must Do Before I Die" list. I plan on taking plenty of pics, so stay tuned!!

Do you know what Party I am most excited for? Bone Bash X!! I am counting down the days until I get to rock out with Aerosmith, ZZ Top, and most importantly YOU! If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet there is still time, but they are going fast. You don’t want to miss this!!  Go HERE

Keep checking back for more updates on where I’ll be next, and for a ton of new pictures!

Catch ya later, Boneheads!!!

Let me know how I'm doing at
rockgirl@thebone.net.

XOXO,
Angela

XOXO
Angela

October 15, 2009

XOXO
Angela

XOXO
